"GLI ANTIPASTI SONO QUELLA COSA CHE DOPO NON-SI MANGIA ALTRO" Even though this phrase is grammatically not correct, it expresses a great truth... "Antipasti" is a true temptation that serves as healthy appetizers.

They are often that good that we want to eat them all and boycott the meal that follows.

Antipasto literally means before the meal. In Italian cuisine, as well as in other European countries, this typically consists of savory foods such as cheeses, cold cuts, cured meats, olives, prosciutto, toasted bread and raw or marinated vegetables, served as first course or appetizer usually topped off with some olive oil.
